Question #136 Statue

If someone made a large statue of you, where would you want it to be placed?

*Bonus: what would you be doing in the statue?

In a basement. Because that would weird me out, seeing a giant me in stone. And I'd be sleeping.

I'd want it placed on the top of a mountain at the Continental Divide, at a spot equidistant from the Canadian & Mexican borders (I think that would put it in Colorado).

I would be facing west and doing a high-kick.

I'd be singing and raising a giant beer mug in the air, like someone caught me in the middle of Auld Lang Syne. One of my eyes would be closed. I'd want this 100-ft. statue placed where the 101 and 405 freeways intersect in the San Fernando Valley.

I would be made from recycled tires and be 5 stories tall attached to the outside of the coit tower, climbing the side and pointing to the west, as if to say "look," though not at anything in particular, just as a prank.

I would want a stone statue of me that would look like those really big statues in the lord of the rings...ya know when they were floating down the river...they were huge and had a arm extended out with a hand in stopping position...

I would have it placed on the north entrance to the goldengate bridge...

I would be in a small alley in the Shorditch area of London. I would be the kind of statue that scares you when you walk around the corner.Life size..no bigger, or smaller.

I would want to be sitting on a bench with a flute of Champagne next to me while I applied some lipgloss in a small mirror.

First off, Kudos to you Ariel, what a great question!

My statue would be in the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge? I would be riding a unicorn on its hind legs. I would also be giving a thumbs-up while winking. The reasoning for this is that I think this would defer those contemplating suicide…sorry Debbie Downer here.

It would be cast in iron and at the bottom a plaque would read "Tomo Rules So Hard".
I would also want this to be the site of my burial place.

I think that they should put a statue of my great grandmother in front of the school named after her in Santa Rosa. I would be the boy sitting next to her, cleaning roots for her to make baskets with, like it was in my actual childhood.

or a statue of the time i got 86'd from Tommy's Joynt as a warning to others in front of Tommy's Joynt.

you may decide.

a giant Frazetta-esque statue of topless me fighting a T-Rex with a chainsaw would be pretty awesome. especially if it were in the MOMA sculpture garden, right next to something dignified.
