remember the episode of "curb" where larry bets the acupuncturist $5000 that the needles won't make his neck feel better? that's how skeptical i am. but then the acupuncture guy sends larry irises and larry admits his neck was feeling better, so who knows. the skeptic in be probably won't believe the reliability of the treatment at least until health insurance will cover it, though.
I did some once. It was interesting and you could tell that there is something to it... I mean, the little needles did help a bit with a pinched nerve that I had... What is really good though that the woman did was some 'cupping'. You can look it up on wiki if you are interested.
acupressure certainly works. I wouldn't rule out the validity of acupuncture, but it strikes me as one of those things which improves in efficacy the more you believe in it.
Here you will find a new question to answer every weekday. This is not a secret so tell others about it, eventually we will sell ads and use the money to buy ice cream sandwiches for everyone and when we say "everyone" we mean it literally.

Don't know firsthand but I've heard "yes."
acupuncture didn't help with my:
quiting smoking,
sprained back,
ulcer or
damaged heel.
acupuncture did help me:
get laid,
make money to teach science,
waste money to get poked and
did i mention get laid?
